In viewing other people's web sites, I've noticed a lot of them include personal information about the author, pictures, discursions on the author's friends, favorite episodes of 'South Park', and so on.

I think this is a great trend and so I am going to support it here.

About myself:

Rain poured down from a sky as purely and beautifully black as obsidian.  Two armies waged bloody and pitiless war on the side of the great mountain, as if fighting their way to the seats of the dark gods themselves.  Thunder crashed.  The dark gods, for their part, merely laughed at the vain and ceaseless slaughter which is human life.  The ending of lives amid the desperate shrieks, indignant and unbelieving cries of those not prepared to die, continued with the pace of clockwork: they fell amid the puddles and rivulets of the rain, and their cries were lost amid the howling and bitter storm.  The year was 1274 by the Christian reckoning, and the place of the battle was the border of Poland.

Alone, back in the tents, a pregnant mother gave birth.  Biting a strip of leather to muffle her cries, she delivered alone, and used a soldier's dagger to cut the umbilical cord herself.  Within the hour, she was slaughtered as the army with which she traveled was defeated and the victors ran rampant through the enemy camp.  The killer paused at the sight of the newborn, and in his bloodlust considered killing it too, for a moment.  With a laugh, he changed his mind.  The world would soon do the job for him.

Also, I enjoy computer games, and my favorite color is light blue.
